Summary

Procurement professional experienced in preparing, negotiating, managing and coordinating agreements related to the Biopharmaceutical industry.  The Senior Procurement Specialist will oversee the contract implementation process and supplier performance and interactions. He/She is responsible for document management in partnership with legal and compliance

 

• Serves as primary point of contact for suppliers

• Evaluates suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability

Ensures competitive pricing and service model versus value proposition, industry trends and market place dynamics

• Serves as trainer for new employees on our procurement processes and systems

• May develop or implement changes (if needed) to new or existing procurement policies as the organization changes.

Responsibilities

50%

Administration of purchasing process, including the completion of purchase orders according to the Spark Purchasing policy. 

Ensures proper approval on contracts and purchase orders according to the grants of authority. 

Assists in contract negotiations and pricing of purchased services and goods.

Support implementations of procurement IT solutions and training.

Serves as point of contract for system and process inquiries

Liaison between A/P and Receiving to rectify any issues.

Liaison between legal, compliance, suppliers and cross functional departmental stakeholders

Qualifications

Team player with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
Ability to initiate and execute a variety of work-related items and projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
Flexible and adaptive to a fast paced, dynamic work environment

Requirements

5+ years of related experience, Microsoft Navison and ReQlogic experience a plus
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
