Support the CNS Research team with laboratory-based functions:

Assist CNS research team in developing and running in-vitro and ex-vivo assays for early discovery and pre-clinical programs including working with cell culture, cloning, DNA/RNA isolation, Q-PCR, Western Blotting, IHC, data analysis and routine lab work

 

Responsibilities: 

 

90%  Help planning and perform experiments on the bench in support of the CNS research projects, including new assay development (in-vitro and ex-vivo) and troubleshooting. Data analysis and an extensive literature review

 

10%  Oversee and/or provide technical support of specialized equipment  as needed. Manage CNS research samples and materials

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in a relevant field preferred; with 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in general molecular biology experiments including Western Blot, WES, ELISA, RT-qPCR, cloning, and cell culture required.
  • Experience in AAV or gene therapy preferred.
  • Adept at conducting routine testing and limited troubleshooting of multiple methods
  • Prior experience writing SOPs and technical documents is preferred
  • Prior experience in the Neuroscience field is preferred
  • Small animal handling including various routes of drug administration, blood draw, stereotax surgeries is a plus

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot experiments.
